Answers to Your Questions

We would just like to say thank you to everyone over the past year for all of their support in assisting families in need.

Sammi Rae of Hope has been involved with 90 families as of October 2009. We have been able to successfully help a majority of these families with the amount of support

we have received.

The question that we get asked most often is, "How do you do it?"

We still receive no grants and not a single penny is available to us in Government funding, even though we are a Community 501(c)(3) organization.

Here's the approximate breakdown for 2008 regarding where the funds come from.  

These are based on the gross dollar amounts received in 2008.

12 % are raised from the small businesses in our local community

13 % come from general donations. (People like you & me)

75% is generated from events and fundraiser's.

When we organize a fundraiser, Sammi typically has to pay all of the expenses to promote and put on these events. Sammi Rae of Hope averages approximately 40 % to 45% net proceeds at the end of the year for all events.

So, the other question we get asked is, "Why does your family continue to do this?"  The answer is, "We are a simple family… with a simple mission."  We want to take the lesson that Sammi taught us and pass it along to others.  By doing this, we hope to have more people become aware of the needs of others

and in return create a legacy for Samantha.
